Role Overview
Senior SAP MM Consultant is a highly skilled IT professional who helps organizations optimize their procurement, inventory management, and material planning processes using SAP’s Material Management (MM) module. They act as trusted advisors, working closely with clients to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions using SAP MM
Role Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an SAP MM Consultant.
- Experience in minimum 4 full-cycle SAP MM implementation projects.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and SAP MM modules
- Expertise in configuring SAP MM functionalities including material master data, procurement processes (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts), inventory management, and valuation.
- Experience with data migration and integrations with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in SAP MM is a must.
- Experience with SAP Ariba is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the implementation and configuration of SAP MM modules based on business requirements.
- Define and customize settings for material master data, purchasing, inventory management, and valuation.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to analyze and understand their procurement and inventory management processes.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and solution designs.
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales and Distribution), FI/CO (Finance and Controlling), and PP (Production Planning).
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and project team members.
- Provide expert-level support for SAP MM modules, addressing and resolving complex issues and enhancement requests.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization and performance improvement.
